Need Super Shine and Moisture?!
The summer heat tends to suck the moisture from our already dry hair and cause our curls to go super frizzy ( at least mine do!)One way to fight the battle is through.......Pre- Poo !
Before you wash your hair.... Use an oil to pre-condition/moisturize DRY hair!
How to:
- Apply coconut oil to dry hair in medium sized sections
- Be sure to apply the oil from the roots to the ends!
- Let the oil sit in the hair at least 20 minutes... (clean the house, read a book, work on a blog post)
- Wash out using your usual shampoo/condition method....
- Note: Be sure to use a 'moisturizing' shampoo if you do shampoo otherwise you may just strip out all the oil you just 'pre-pooed' with...
Result: Your hair should be super shiny and moisturized following your routine.
For additional moisture use a 2 parts water/1 part vegetable glycerin mix to spray styled hair to increase moisture to the hair.
Vegetable glycerin loves water/moisture. It attracts moisture out the air and brings it to your hair! It also strengthens the hair!
Don't have coconut oil? Use olive oil or jojoba..they should do the trick too!!
*Remember a little coconut oil can go a long way* One jar can last forever & its like $5-$7!
